What should I do if I am using Sherpa to deliver alcohol to my customers?
If you are using Sherpa to deliver alcohol, be sure to select the alcohol checkbox when logging the delivery. This notifies our drivers that the delivery contains alcohol and triggers the correct Sherpa process for alcohol deliveries.
What policies does Sherpa have in place to meet liquor laws?
To ensure compliance with liquor laws in our operating cities, Sherpa has several strict policies:
- Delivering only to the intended recipient.
- Confirming both the age and identity of the recipient to ensure they are over 18 years old.
- Confirming the recipient is not intoxicated.
- Not leaving alcohol unattended at a delivery address.
What happens if there is an issue at the time of delivery?
If any of the following occur, the Sherpa driver will return the alcohol to the pickup address:
- The intended recipient is not available.
- The intended recipient is under the age of 18.
- The intended recipient is already intoxicated.
- No one is available to accept the delivery (and no Authority to Leave granted).
