Shopify - Configure Sherpa Delivery Preferences

You can configure your Shopify store to include your desired Sherpa delivery preferences. These preferences will be sent to Sherpa when an order is placed. 

 

  • From your Shopify dashboard select Apps Sherpa Delivery
  • Select Delivery Preferences from the header navigation
  • Choose the vehicle suitable for delivering your products (note a motorbike can only deliver up to 5km from pickup location)
  • Select the delivery flags your orders need. For instance, if your order contains alcohol, the ‘Alcohol’ flag must be selected to ensure Sherpa driver follows Responsible Service of Alcohol regulations. Flowers should be marked as ‘Fragile’
  • Select Save Settings




Vehicle Type

Choose motorbike*, car or van appropriate to the size of your typical order

*Note that motorbikes will only make deliveries up to 5km, orders beyond that radius will default to car)


Delivery preferences

Authority to leave
Select to provide authority to leave package should recipient not be available. Note that tobacco, scheduled medication and specified recipient deliveries cannot be left unattended.

 
Send SMS

Select to send recipient SMS notifications (only available if recipient provides a SMS enabled phone number).

 
Specified recipient

Select if you need our driver to check the recipient’s ID matches the name of the person who placed the order. Specified recipient deliveries cannot be left unattended.

 
Contains alcohol

Select if your order contains alcohol.

 
Contains fragile items

Select if your order contains fragile items.

 
Contains scheduled (prescription) medication

Select if your order contains scheduled (prescription) medication. Upon delivery, our driver will check the recipient is over 18. Scheduled medication deliveries cannot be left unattended.

 
Contains tobacco

Select if your order contains tobacco. Upon delivery, our driver will check the recipient is over 18. Tobacco deliveries cannot be left unattended.

 
Requires hi-vis vest

Select if you require our driver to wear a hi-vis vest
