Shopify - Enable and Disable the App

When you install the Sherpa Delivery app into your Shopify store, it will be disabled by default.

If you haven't already, you need to ensure you have added carrier-calculated shipping service to your Shopify account before you enable the app for the first time. 

Note: In January 2023, Shopify removed access to this service entirely for their Shopify Basic plan.  

To enable the carrier-calculated shipping service, you can choose to either:

  1. Reach out to Shopify’s customer support to have this service enabled on your existing Shopify  Plan at an extra cost of $20 / month (or free if you switch to an annual plan).

  2. Upgrade to Advanced Shopify plan or Shopify Plus.

 

Enable the Sherpa Delivery app

  • From your Shopify dashboard select Apps Sherpa Delivery Manage
    • Under Sherpa basics on the app dashboard, select ‘Enable’ (will say Sherpa Shipping is enabled)
    • Select Save Settings

 

Once enabled, you'll be able to add Sherpa shipping rates to zones set in your Shopify Shipping & Delivery options.

Note: If you have set the app up with a Sherpa test account, the Sherpa plugin will function as intended but no driver will be sent
