Are there any delivery surcharges or additional costs?

  1. CBD Deliveries Surcharge: There may be an additional surcharge for deliveries with pick-up or drop-off locations in the CBD areas of Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney. This surcharge is calculated as a percentage of the delivery price and reflects the extra time and challenges associated with deliveries in central business districts.

  2. Additional Item/Weight Charges:

    1. For car deliveries: An additional item charge will be applied per item if there are more than 2 items.  

    2. For van deliveries: An additional item charge will be applied per item if there are more than 4 items.

    3. Weight surcharge: Additional charges will be applied if the total weight of the delivery is more than 40kg. Charges will be applied for every additional 20kg. 

  3. Return Delivery / Redeliveries: If a return or redelivery is necessary due to reasons like recipient unavailability or incorrect delivery information, the user will be responsible for the cost incurred.

  4. Wait Time Fees:

    1. If the driver needs to wait at the pickup or delivery location beyond 5 minutes after the scheduled ready-at time, a wait time fee will be charged for each additional 5 minutes.

    2. No charges apply if the driver arrives before the agreed ready-at time.

  5. Cancellation Policy: Sherpa has a specific cancellation policy detailing when cancellation fees may apply. Users should refer to this policy here for detailed information on potential charges related to cancellations.

6. Limited Network Capacity: 10% loading on the base delivery price in hours of operation where the network has lower capacity to meet your delivery requirements - Sundays and from afternoon to early morning on other days (local times).
