How does it work?
If efficiencies can be found by bundling 5 or more deliveries with 1 driver, a bundling discount of up to 10% will automatically be applied.
Am I eligible?
If we are able to bundle your deliveries with the same driver, a bundling discount will apply.
Note the following exceptions -
- Bulk-rate customers are not eligible for the bundling discount.
- If you are an enterprise customer (custom pricing agreement), direct any rates enquiries to your Account Manager.
What percentage discount will I get?
If we are able to bundle your deliveries with the same driver, a bundling discount of 10% will apply.
Note the following exceptions -
- Bulk-rate customers are not eligible for the bundling discount.
- If you are an enterprise customer (custom pricing agreement), direct any rates enquiries to your Account Manager.
How do we determine which jobs get bundled together?
We use routing technology to determine which deliveries are suitable to be grouped together. This helps reduce our carbon footprint by reducing the number of drivers needed to complete your deliveries.
There are varying factors that our system uses to make this determination, including, but not limited to: delivery timeframes, locations, vehicle types, item quantity, and order weight.
Sherpa does not guarantee that deliveries will be bundled together and will not retroactively apply discounts upon request.
Why did I receive a discount last time, but not this time?
Sometimes we are not able to group your jobs with the same driver, and therefore the discount would not be applicable. The ability to group deliveries with the same driver depends on various factors.
How will I know whether a discount was applied?
Within your delivery history - export the CSV file. Here, you will see a column titled “Bundling_Discount_User” which will show whether your deliveries received the discount.
You will also be able to see the Run ID in the CSV file - 5 of the same confirms that your deliveries were successfully able to be bundled.
What can I do to increase the chances of my jobs being bundled together?
The following will help increase the likelihood of (but does not guarantee) our routing system finding efficiencies with your deliveries:
- Logging deliveries with the same "item ready at" time or using the same delivery window
- Using the same delivery proposition for all of your deliveries
- And although we understand it's difficult to control, the deliveries that are heading in a similar direction will be more likely grouped together.
Important things to note:
- Deliveries are not guaranteed to be bundled and are dependent upon varying factors such as weather, driver availability, special events etc.
- If edits are made to your deliveries after the runs have been created, this may void your discount.
