My delivery isn't getting assigned. What can I do?

Sherpa's crowd-sourced model allows drivers to choose their hours, with deliveries assigned first to nearby drivers, prioritising high-rated drivers for early access to jobs to ensure efficient service. To learn more about how a driver is assigned to a delivery, click here

Occasionally, factors like location or time of day may cause delays in finding the right driver. To ensure a smooth experience, you can choose to either reschedule your delivery for a different time and day or offer a price increase to make the delivery more appealing to drivers.

 

How do I apply a fee increase? 

  1. The option to apply a price increase on a delivery will show as soon as a delivery passes its ready-at time. This will be available in a yellow banner on your Sherpa delivery dashboard once login.


  2. Once you click, on "Increase price", a pop-up window will show.

  3. You can select the amount increments you wish to apply. Once selected click on the blue "Confirm Fee Increase" button.

  4. If successful, a temporary confirmation message will show in the bottom left of your screen, and the surcharge amount will be available in the price breakdown. 


Here are a few key points to remember:

  • Price increases are charged only after a driver is assigned. If no driver is found and the delivery is canceled, you’ll receive a full refund.
  • Once a price increase is applied, it cannot be reversed; to cancel it, you'll need to cancel and rebook the delivery, which may incur a fee if a driver has been assigned.
  • Drivers receive 100% of the price increase

 

How to I reschedule a delivery? 

  1. From the delivery page, click on "reschedule" in the yellow banner. 


  2. From there a new window will open. Update the delivery date and time. If necessary, you can click on "Show other details" to view and edit the other delivery information. Once completed click on "Confirm Reschedule". 


  3. If successful a temporary, confirmation message will show in the left corner. 


Reminder that rescheduling a delivery may incur a difference in pricing.
